Hi there! I’m Ayako, a Japanese wife living in Malaysia.

Malaysia is right in the middle of durian season, but it’s coming to an end soon… I’m going to miss it so much! I managed to enjoy plenty of it this year too (^_-)-☆ Malaysian durian is said to be the best in the world, so be sure to visit Malaysia during durian season. Let’s go!!!

Must-Know Money-Saving Ayah Info

  • Across from The Saujana Hotel is The Japanese School of Kuala Lumpur. With a total of 697 students across its kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school divisions (as of July 1, 2020), this school is a major draw for Japanese expatriates, meaning a significant number of Japanese residents live in the Subang Jaya area.

  • The Saujana Hotel is adjacent to the Saujana Golf & Country Club, so many guests stay there specifically to play golf.

  • You can also host garden weddings in the garden area of The Saujana Hotel.

  • Reception is open 24 hours a day, and you can choose whether or not to include breakfast.

  • Parking is available, so staying by car is perfectly fine!

  • There are very few places within walking distance—basically just the Kuala Lumpur Japanese School and Saujana Golf & Country Club—so it’s not really feasible to go out for evening strolls.
