[Sky Mirror] Stay at a Link House Near Malaysia's Version of Uyuni Salt Flats, Sky Mirror
Sasaran Homestay – Stay in a spacious Malaysian house and enjoy a more local experience!
Hello! I’m Aya, a Japanese wife living in Malaysia.
I recently started a YouTube channel, but between the demands of raising kids, I’ve been struggling to keep up with regular uploads. Updates may be a bit slow, but I’ll continue sharing glimpses of everyday life in Malaysia. Thanks so much for your support!
Today, I’m introducing an accommodation located about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur city center (e.g., Bukit Bintang). While it’s a standard link house, it’s just a 15-minute drive to the Sky Mirror jetty, where you can enjoy activities like visiting the Sky Mirror, catching fireflies, and experiencing the bioluminescent plankton. If you’re looking to explore even more, Sekinchan—a popular rural destination among locals—is only about 45 minutes away by car from Sasaran Homestay, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. This time, we brought eight friends along (including a baby!) and had a blast partying until the early hours! Let me take you inside this spacious Malaysian bungalow.

<Spacious Living and Dining Area>

The moment we stepped inside, we couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow! It’s so spacious!” The living room, dining area, first bedroom, toilet, and kitchen are all simple and easy to use. We especially loved the large wooden dining table that seats eight—it was fantastic!
We enjoyed a meal and lively conversation together at the same table. It was incredibly comfortable!

Refrigerator available.

IH cooktop, electric kettle, toaster

They provide cups, plates, chopsticks, spoons, forks, and more.
It was a simple kitchen. It had only the basics, and since it featured an IH cooktop, it wasn’t ideal for preparing elaborate meals. Fortunately, there are plenty of delicious seafood restaurants nearby, so the moms can take a well-deserved break and enjoy some great local cuisine!
<Room 1>

One queen-size bed and one single bed, comfortably accommodating up to three guests.
Let’s go to the second floor!!

■ Second Floor

At the top of the stairs, you’ll find a spacious landing. The second floor features three bedrooms: a master bedroom, a second bedroom, and a third bedroom.
Master Bedroom:
One King-size bed + one bunk bed (lower: Queen-size, upper: Single) – accommodates up to 5 guests
Second Bed:
One queen-size bed and one single bed; typically accommodates up to three guests.
Third Bedroom:
One queen-size bed and one single bed; comfortably accommodates up to three guests.
When combined with the room below, it can accommodate up to 14 guests. Please note that an extra charge applies if bunk beds are used.
<Master Bedroom>

The master bedroom featured a king-sized bed, so all three of us comfortably slept snuggled up together! With its large windows and balcony, the room offered an open, airy feel and excellent natural light. The baby was thrilled, running around happily.

Double-decker bed (queen size on the bottom, single on top). It seems the owner installed this setup to accommodate more guests. In Malaysia, it’s common for families to visit each other with their children, so spacious houses like this are quite common in various areas.

There’s also space in front of the shower room, so even with five people staying, there’s plenty of room to store your luggage.

This is a shower with an electric water heater.

<Second Bedroom>
1 Queen Bed + 1 Single Bed | Maximum 3 Guests
Some include a toilet and a shower room.

1 Queen bed + 1 Single bed | Sleeps up to 3 guests
Some units include a toilet and a shower room.

Let’s have a blast together!

We spent a wonderful time chatting and enjoying beers together—it was so much fun!
It’s clean and spacious, making it perfect for a few close friends to stay together or for a larger group of friends and families to enjoy a getaway together!

There’s a local market (morning market) nearby, where you can buy fresh vegetables and fruits. There are also shophouses in the vicinity, housing restaurants, fishmongers, convenience stores, and more! We’ve been there ourselves.
