Episode 3: Top Up Your Mobile Phone Using the TNG App!

Mio Kagura has recently started her new life in Malaysia. Today, she is holding her smartphone and looking a little confused.

“Mom, how do I top up my mobile phone?”

Her mother, who is standing nearby, looks at Mio’s smartphone and replies.

“You can top up at 7-Eleven, KK Mart, or 99 Speedmart. You can also do it at a mobile phone shop.”

“Oh, I see! But do I have to go to a shop every time?”

Mio asks as she looks at her smartphone.

“No, you can also top up directly through the TNG eWallet app.”

Her mother takes out her own smartphone and opens TNG eWallet.

“First, tap ‘More’ on the app’s home screen.”

Mio watches her mother’s instructions and follows the same steps on her own smartphone.

“Next, I tap ‘All Services,’ right?”

“That’s right. Then select ‘MY Prepaid.’”

The screen changes to display the mobile prepaid top-up page.

Her registered mobile phone number appears on the screen, along with several top-up amounts.

RM5, RM10, RM30, RM50, and RM100.

“So, I just select RM50 here, right?”

“Yes. Make sure your mobile phone number is correct before choosing the top-up amount.”

Mio checks the details on the screen and selects RM50.

At the bottom of the screen, the total amount of RM50.00 and a ‘Top Up’ button are displayed.

“I think I can do this!”

Mio smiles, looking a little relieved.

“See? It’s convenient because you can top up through the app without having to go to a shop.”

As her mother explains, Mio gradually learns the steps.

Next time her mobile balance gets low, she may no longer need to make a special trip to a shop.

“I’ll try topping up through the app next time.”

“Good! It’s handy to know how to use it.”

Life in Malaysia is full of little discoveries like this.

Even learning one new smartphone feature can make everyday life a little easier.

Whether at a shop or through an app, choose the method that works best for you to top up your mobile phone!

Note: This story is intended to introduce the top-up process. The actual screens and available services may vary depending on the app version and mobile service provider.
